Sundarban is a cultural place and it is full of diverse but a unique culture. In Sundarban there are mostly Bengalis and these Bengalis have different cultures of their own. Their culture is so different that you might think they do not belong from the same place but they all speak Bengali and they are Bengali. How does this cultural flash of Sundarban happen? Actually, Sundarban is spread among a vast land. It is also in India and in Bangladesh. So, the cultures clash with each other things change and happen. This is a unique Sundarban.

However if you are someone who have never visited Sundarban then you will love to so because you will get to see mainly two types of Bengalis there one is called “ bangal” and other is “ Ghoti”. Now you might have a question what is the different between them. There is a vast cultural difference between them. The “ Bangals” are the Bengalis from Bangladesh or have a Bangladeshi link in their blood. Their food structure, talking style, worshipping rituals is very different from the ghotis. Moreover their looks are also very different and well built in all extent.

Whereas Ghotis are Bengalis who were always from India itself and have different speaking tone, cultural jerk, food habits and they also look very different. If you go to Sundarban you will get to meet both these types of people. Though they are very much culturally different, still they stay in one place without any problem. They respect each other’s culture and protect each other’s needs. One thing that joins them is their taste for fish.  There is one fish that both agree on is the “ Hilsa” . Therefore the hilsa festival is very popular their and people from all over the country and world come to this place to enjoy it to the fullest.
